Hundreds of millions of years ago, all the continents on Earth were connected to form a giant “supercontinent” called Pangaea. How might ocean currents have differed during the time of Pangaea compared to today? Explain your answer.

During the time of Pangea, all the continents were connected in one large single continent that stretched nearly from the north to south pole in one hemisphere of the globe. How do you think that may have affected ocean currents with one huge landmass stretching north and south and blocking east-west ocean currents? Take into account the spinning of the earth on its axis.
