An anthropologist compares the remains of H. neaderthalensis to earlier hominid species, like H. habilis, and to the contemporary and later species H. sapiens. He believes that H. neanderthalensis were the first hominids to bury their dead. Which of the following would be a valid reason to question the reliability of this idea?

The fact that antropologists found cuts at the joints which suggest their dead must have been consider a resource to feed themselves(in famine, for example). Just because bones were found into a cave doesnt mean that they really buried their dead.
