just figure it out by simplifying, and grouping the common ones. -6y + 14 + 4y = 32 -6y + 4y + 14 = 32 -2y + 14 = 32 now pass the 14 to the other side, since its adding passes subtracting -2y = 32 - 14 -2y = 18 then the negative two, which since its multiplying it passes dividing y = 18/-2 y = -9 that would be how to solve it
