ok I have this impossible question. using this function "y=sin(x)" state the amplitude, period, phase shift, vertical displacement, and the domain and range.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Amplitute is 1. Period is 2 pi phase shift is 0 Vertical displacement is 0 Domain is all real numbers Range is -1 <+y<=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you do that?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I paid attention when my teacher taught it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the steps..

OpenStudy (mertsj):

y = A sin(B(x - C)) + D, where |A| is the amplitude, B alters the period, C is the horizontal shift, and d is the vertical shift of the graph.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

B= 2pi/period

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the period always 2pi unless altered?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yes
