OpenStudy (cathyangs):

Shouldn't the little blurb thing under the smartscore say "...Dr. Preetha Ram's TED talk...", not "Dr. Preetha Ram's TEDx talk"?

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

It's correct as written. There is a difference between TED and TEDx. I'm not quite sure what it is, but there is definitely a difference, and this was definitely a TEDx talk.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

x=expert? idk she is an expert tho:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@KingGeorge is right. TEDx events are organized independently by outside groups, but are still allowed to have the "TED" label, I believe. In contrast, TED (without the x) talks are sponsored and hosted by TED themselves. The format of each conference is basically the same though (essentially, a series of speakers on a wide variety of subjects).

For our purposes, it's not too big of a difference, I think :P
