How would I graph a line using slope and y-intercept? Ex. y=2x+5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Draw your axis first, then mkae the point (0,5) the line passes through that point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your slope is 2 and your y intercept is 5 remember y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So then with your slope think of it as rise/run which which that for every two points you rise you go over 1 (with your slope of 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so next draw a point (2,6) and then (4,7) then draw a line through these points and thats your graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is a straight line having slope2 and y-intrcpt 5|dw:1337734768685:dw| Find x value by m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) formula.
