Using complete sentences, explain how to graph 2x + y = 14 using the x- and y-intercepts method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get the x any y intercepts, you put the opposite coordinate in as 0 say you wanted to get the y intercept. you would enter 0 as the x value and that would leave you with 14 as your y intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do the opposite for x intercept, and solve for x. your x intercept would be (7,0) and your y intercept would be (0,14) to graph that all you have to do is solve for y as is. subtract 2x from both sides. the graph would have a negative slope of 2 and y intercept of 14
