Evaluate C(7, 7).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many ways can you choose all seven items out of seven?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm afraid I don't understand..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C(7,7) is read "seven choose seven" it is the number of ways to choose all seven items out of 7 ther is only one way to do this (namely pick all seven) C(4,1) means the number of ways to choose one item from a set of 4 there are 4 ways to do this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for more complicated examples there is a formula, but you should only use it if necessary, which it rarely is. for example C(10,2) is the number of ways to choose 2 from a set of 10 it is computed by \(C(10,2)=\frac{10\times 9}{2}=5\times 9=45\)

7C7 ITS VALUE IS 1

\[7_{c7}=1\] as \[n _{c}n =1\]
