The sum of 3 consecutive EVEN integers is 174. What is the first integer?

Parth (parthkohli):

Well, to think about it, if the first even integer is x, then the next two will be x + 2 and x + 4, right? Setting up an equation. \(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 174 }\) \(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow 3x + 6 = 174 }\) \(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow 3x = 168 }\) \(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow x = 56 }\)

Parth (parthkohli):

The first even integer was x, so 56.
