For the show your work

Jacob 3 pages / 2 hours = 1.5 pages/hr

Olivia 5 pages / 3 hours = 1.667 pages/hr

before answering this let me tell you one thing, when comparing things make sure one of the given quanitities is same for comparison. for eg, in your case find out how much each writes in one hour(which is obtained by dividing total pages written by the total time taken). so that would give you 1.5pg/hr for jacob 5/3 page per hour for olivia,,, now 5/3=1.667... so clearly olivia wrote faster
