Given the following piecewise function: f(x)={x+5 for -4< x <1 {9 for x=1 { -x+3 for x>1 a. Find the domain. b. Find the range. c. Find the intercepts. d. Is f continuous on its domain? If not, state where f is discontinuous. e. Graph the function. In the equation its suppose to be a line under that less than sign behind the 4 sumbody plz let me know if you can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the circles mean not part of the graph the dots means part of the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say domain is (-4, infinity)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you i really appreciate it anything helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

range is (1,6), 9 , (2,- infinity)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what intercepts do you mean? The x intercepts and y? Y intercept is 5 x intercept is 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i guess they mean x and y idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

domain is your x value. Range is your f(x) value.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not continious it jumps from like 6 to 9 suddenly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for E I graphed it :)
