OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lanre why do you say those?

OpenStudy (lanre):

1c what is surrounded by a membrane? 2E Prokaryotic cells has no membrane bound nucleus.

OpenStudy (kayne):

@lanre is right.. Life is not surrounded by a membrane.. and then for this particular question a process seems to be more appropriate as an answer..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kayne life has to be surrounded by a membrane....think of any living thing....it has a membrane. Would would it even mean to be alive but not have an internal state?

OpenStudy (kayne):

@remnant.. I'm sorry.. I was actually thinking of a complex organism being in a membrane.. :S really sorry.. and you are right.. life has to be surrounded by a membrane.. a concrete example is the cell itself being the basic structural unit of life is surrounded by a cell membrane..
