That would be the Amygdala a part of the limbic system. It responsible for emotions such as fear, anxiety and rage, it regulates the bloodpreasure and breathing patterns during Fight & Fly. Aswell as it's the major part of why we remember emotional events, such as physical or emotional abuse, Death of a loved one etc.
