Can somebody give me a simple way to solve a definite integral? I know technically you are supposed to mess with the graph and finding area, etc. but i haven't had calc I in 3 years and i'm starting calc 2 this summer and def integ is all i'm lacking of catching up. THANKS

There's a fantastically important result for evaluating definite integrals (and indefinite too) called The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Find your old text book, look it up, read carefully their examples and then work 100 exercises yourself. That is quite honestly what I would do if I were you and needed to make sure I could evaluate definite integrals without now remembering them. http://www.khanacademy.org is also a useful resource.

And don't forget to ask for help if you need it!
