Which of the following describes the correct method to find the measure of angle y? The sum of the measures of the angles about a vertex is 2y + the sum of two interior angles of the triangle. y = (360°- 240°) ÷ 2. The sum of an interior angle of the hexagon and an interior angle of an equilateral triangle is 360°. y = 360° – 60°. The sum of an interior angle of the hexagon and an interior angle of each of two equilateral triangles is 180°. y = 180° – 120°. The sum of 2y and an interior angle of each of two equilateral triangles is 360°. y = (360°- 120°) ÷ 2
@amistre64
I think its d
I could tell you what y is, but how to form it into those sentences ... i wouldnt know how to read it
So you dont know this one ?
i dont know what the correct option they want is, no.

@satellite73
360/6 = 60, so y = 60 because they make alot of equilateral triangles
err, y = 120 since we are counting it as "2 angles"
Okay . I just dont know which answer i should pick
its either a or d, which one gets us 120?
a gets you 120 but then you divide by 2 you get 60
then a does not get us 120, it gets us 60
so the answer is D
if i had to pick a best guess, d would be it since I know y = 120 and thats the only one that fits
okay . I am trying really hard on this test because if i dont pass i fail the whole geometry course. :(
the best time to study for a test is .... before the test ;)
i have a computer programming midterm this week, but the websites down that the test is on :/
I did study before and i took it and failed and so this is my last chance. Lol
