What events inspired Rothko? The color television was introduced and man took his first walk on the moon. The first skyscraper was built in Chicago. The theory of evolution was discussed by Darwin as was Pasteurs theory of germs. The invention of photography and the use of watercolors in painting.
the invention of photography and watercolors answer was wrong..please help
If you are talking about Mark Rothko that is a tough call. He was a Russian-American who was greatly inspired by Nietzsche, the Holocaust, etc. The color TV and man on the moon could be a politically driven influence, while the first skyscraper could be influential towards the skyscraper he designed in Houston. So I would guess the skyscraper. And I don't see a connection with Darwin.
