factor the expression y^2-10+25

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

you mean y^2 + 15 or you mis-typed the ques?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry it is y^2-10y+25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(y-5)(y-5) (y-5)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u have to look at the factors of the first term y^2 and last term 25. Then when they multiply and add together they have to equal -10, this is where the -5 comes from in both brackets because -5y-5y =-10y

ok thanks
