took some courses in c++ (from basics to data structures) , got the concepts , so now what should i learn 1st java or c# ?

Both are fun Object Oriented programming languages, so It's really up to You. They are similar so it's relatively easy to switch from one to another. I'm more of a C# fan because I found the Visual Studio environment easier to work with compared to eclipse or netbeans, but thats just personal preference.

Also with Java you can program for Android phones, while with C# You have windows phone 7.
