May you clarify what about the chart is confusing you? Btw, just as a reminder. A heterozygous individual = has 2 alleles of one trait; one of which codes for a dominant expression and one of which codes for a recessive expression A homozygous individual = has 2 alleles of one trait; both code for either dominant expression or recessive expression The chart is based on phenotypes not genotypes. Based on it, a heterozygous individual would have an empty shape; a homozygous dominant individual would have an empty shape, and a homozygous recessive individual would have a shaded shape.
