Write a formula for the area of a square with side length “2b”.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright linegang what do you know about the Area of a square, what is the formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area is l*w

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright so LW=A and what do you know about all the sides of a square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright so i'm guessing that the 2b is throwing you off because of the variable however you can just think that 2b = any integer because b can be anything so you can think of 2b being a length like 4 so if 2b =4 what would the area be of the square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright so what would be the area of this square |dw:1337883188677:dw|
