OpenStudy (amistre64):

thats for people who really want the practice eh

OpenStudy (amistre64):

can you factor the denom of that right term?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, i need some serious help, I have no idea where to start... no :(

OpenStudy (amistre64):

factor the denom of the term on the right and you should see that alot of stuff has a chance to cancel out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I came up with this but I am not sure that is correct... 2/3 (x^2 + 10x - 24)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

dunno, can you go thru your steps for me so that i can follow what you did?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I honestly don't know, me and my friend came up with this answers

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it looks right, but the right answer is really the outcome of a correct process. The process is whats important to be comfortable with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your right... but I have no idea what the steps are

OpenStudy (amistre64):

how do you add fractions with unlike denoms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make the denominators equal to each other by finding the least common denominator.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good, and in the case of polys, that tends to look similar to a cross multiplying
