a(little)n= -1/125(5^n-1) a. -125 b. -25 c. -625 d. -5 Please explain!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, what is the 6th term in this sequence?? Forgot that part! Oops!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when n=6, what do we come up with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got -125(5^5), so would the answer be -25??

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i think its more likely to be:\[-\frac{5^5}{125}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also, I am new to open study. How come you have moderator on your icon and it is outlined in purple?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

becasue i am a moderator and hav the ability to ban the people that start trouble or use this site inapproriately

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good thing spelling want a requirement for the job tho lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would still be -25 is the final answer right? Oh cool! I did not know that! How do you become one?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the owners of the site invite you to be one if they need one and youve shown yourself to be competent at crowd control

OpenStudy (amistre64):

-25 makes sense to me if my head math is right

OpenStudy (amistre64):

555 = 125 so that leave 55 = 25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you! :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome, and good luck ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I attached a file with the graph that I think is the correct answer. Can you please let me know if that is right?
