OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

why b>1; Why not b>0. Please give reason. I had this problem while studying Logarithmic Differentiation:(

OpenStudy (binary3i):

tell me what is 5^0=?

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

1

OpenStudy (binary3i):

5^0=1 take log on both the sides now?

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

k! \[0*\log_e{5}=\log_e{1}=0 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are just stating that \(b>1\) you can have a logarithm with a base between 0 and 1 as well

OpenStudy (binary3i):

yes @satellite73 is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

having read this now 4 times, it just looks like a bunch of random statements. there is nothing here of the form "if something, then something else"

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):
