Sorry, I'm terrible at proofs. It's the only thing I really have trouble with in geometry. Go to the Semester Exam Practice Test lesson and click on the link that has the postulates and theorems. That should help. It looks like this:

Hmm both triangles ABC and ABD share the same angle which is angle A. both triangles have a 45 degree angle. both triangles share the same side AB. ASA postulate. therefore you can prove that:
$$\Delta ABD \approx \Delta ACB$$
