Explain how the process of combining radicals through addition and subtraction is similar to combining polynomials. What makes two radicals like radicals? Give an example.

In any expression, indexes are same and its radicands are identical. for example 3√x and √x are the like radicals but 3√x and √y are unlike radicals.like radicals are easily added but unlike radicals are not possible to add. Like: 3√x + √x = 4√x Unlike: 3√x +√y = ?? (√x and √y are different radicands can't be added)
