(5,1) is a solution to the equation 2x-3y=7. what does this mean ? can someone help me please.

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

because an ordered pair is essentally (x,y), it means you can substitute the ordered pair for x and y in the eqn. to get answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you plug in(x=5,y=1) in that equation you will get 7

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

what I meant at the end is that you will get one number take x for example) that equals that same number. ("x=x")
