Suppose you want to find out how many hours of exercise the students at your school get each week. At the school gym you ask everybody you see, "How many hours of exercise do you get every week?" 1. Will the results of your survey be representative of your entire school? 2. Is there a better location to conduct your survey?

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

No, it is too biased. People who are at the gym naturally go there more often than people not at the gym. a better place to go and ask is somewhere like a cafeteria or place where people have to pass through frequently to go to many different places.

Considering that asking every student in the whole school takes up too much time and work, is the answer for #1 a simple yes or no question?

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

no

Thanks, I felt I was looking into the questions too much and making them harder than they actually are.
