What is the similarity ratio of two cubes with volumes of 64 cubic centimeters and 125 cubic centimeters? Answer 1:5 2:3 4:5 16:25

hero (hero):

Mertsj what are you doing?

hero (hero):

He just gave the answer and ran away.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL i didnt see what he said

hero (hero):

Well, that's a good thing, not a bad thing. He should have provided an explanation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeahh im good with both but but with an explanation and i can probably do it again later with similar problems

hero (hero):

If two objects are similar then a:b is the ratio of two corresponding sides a^2:b^2 is the ratio of the areas a^3: b^3 is the ratio of the volume In this case the volumes are 64:125 so we take the cube root of both to get a:b. When we do that we get 4:5

hero (hero):

I hope that makes any sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it does thank-you!! =)

hero (hero):

Awesome
