Someone asked me this brainteaser and I can't seem to get it... Paolo and Kyle were leaving the cafeteria as they passed the cashier, Paolo paid his bill but kyle handed the cashier a slip of paper with the number "1O040180" on it. The cashier studied the number for a moment then let kyle pass by without paying... why? there are no errors in the question.

Parth (parthkohli):

I see an error. 1 - O - 0 There's an O and there's a 0.

OpenStudy (jlastino):

i told that to the asker but he said it's really O

Parth (parthkohli):

This isn't even a number....It has an O

OpenStudy (jlastino):

yeah that's what I was complaining about...but nvm i already got it this time haha

OpenStudy (radar):

Maybe it was a serial number on currency thus the slip of paper was money

OpenStudy (jlastino):

hmmm can be but i think the answer is....i owe nothing for i ate nothing.

Parth (parthkohli):

Yeah correct

OpenStudy (radar):
