OpenStudy (grant330sims):

If f(x) = 5x – 3 and g(x) = 4x + 7, what is f(g(x)) ?

Parth (parthkohli):

\(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow f(4x + 7) }\) \(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow 5(4x + 7) - 3 }\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5(4x+7)-3

Parth (parthkohli):

Can you do now?

OpenStudy (grant330sims):

Yes thanx!

Parth (parthkohli):

The concept of functions is confusing when you come to a statement like this :p

Parth (parthkohli):

You basically have to think that if you are multiplying a number by 5 and adding three, then you'll multiply g(x) by 5 and add 3.
