A pre-industrial level of a certain gas in the atmosphere was 302 ppm. If the function f(x) = 423(1.002)^x projects the concentration of this gas ( in ppm) in the atmosphere x years after the year 2003, in what year will the concentration reach 1.80 times the pre-industrial level ?

Multiply your pre-industrial level by 1.80. Sub that in for f(x), solve for x.
thank you i will try that :)
1.80*302=423(1.002)^x use logarithms to solve it.
thanks :)
you're welcome. :)
