What does "catalyse" mean?.. in terms of reaction rates?

catalyse makes the reaction go faster
They are enzymes which speed up the rate of chemical reaction.
Depending on the type of reaction, it may either speed up or slow down the reaction.
Catalyse means speeding up reactions. The catalysts which catalyse the reactions actually lower the activation energy of particular reactions for them to occur faster..
