Remember in Geometry when you learned about Proofs? And you had to even write some proofs given a picture, statement, and conclusion? In trigonometry, the Trig Identities can be thought of as the “trig rules” or math statements that are always true no matter what (just like the conjectures in Geometry). Why do you think it is important to learn how to prove trig identities (and similar mathematical statements like you did in Geometry)?
