Eat a balanced diet and avoid taking in anything that could harm the embryo. Eat a diet high in protein and avoid anything containing fat or carbohydrates. Gain at least 20 pounds and avoid any particularly strenuous exercise. Take vitamin supplements and avoid doing any exercises that could harm the embryo.
Hi @holmes15 ... you're asking what could a women do prior to becoming pregnant.. Maybe it should simply be eating a balanced diet 'cause you can't avoid eating carbohydrates.. maybe you were actually referring to low carb food? (by the way, I referring to the second option).. I don't think that the other three really answer to your question, 'cause the embryo is not here yet..
