A rectangle has vertices whose coordinates are A(1, 4), B(4, -1), C(-1, -4), and D(-4, 1). Find the coordinates of the midpoints of each side. (Enter answers as improper fractions.) Midpoint of AB = ( , ) Midpoint of BC = ( , ) Midpoint of CD = ( , ) Midpoint of AD = ( , )
please help!
mipdpoint between any two point (a , b) and (c, d) is ((a+b)/2 , (b+d)/2)
for example, for points A and B, (1+4)/2 is your x coordinate of the midpoint (4+(-1))/2 is your y coordinate of the midpoint so simplified, (5/2, 3/2) is your midpoint for AB can you do the rest? i can verify your answers if you want.
omg thanks yes! thanks for clarifying it! and yes please verify my answers, id love that!:)
Midpoint of BC = 3/2 , 5/2 ?
is it right?
that should be -5/2 right?
oh yes:)
and how about
then correct... :)
Midpoint of CD = -5,2 , -3/2
yes... :)
and finally Midpoint of AD = 5/2 -3/2
x first, then y.... -3/2, 5/2
oh okkk:)
good work seashell .. :)
thanks to you!:)appreciate it
yw...:)
