Where does the graph of y = 3x2 - 10x - 8 cross the x-axis? (2/3,0) and (-4,0) (-2/3,0) and (4,0) (4/3,0) and (-2,0) (-4/3,0) and (2,0)

So first you will try to solve for X by factor out the equation using FOIL method. \[3x ^{2}-10x-8\] Can be factor out as \[(3x+2)(x-4)\] Can you try to solve for X from here on?

Parth (parthkohli):

It'll cross the x-axis when x = 0. @Anhina good work, you explained rather than giving the answer :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or just test the values of all the x you were given its inefficient to do that but still works

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no man when y =0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok. so its the #2 right?
