-5x-9+8x^2 write the polynomial in standard form. Then name the expression by it's degree and number of terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the polynomial, and rearrange in from the highest degree to the lowest degree. The degree of the expression will be the highest degree. (:

8x^2-5X-9 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then what does it mean by name each expression by its degree and number of terms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well. If the highest degree in your polynomial is 8x^2, what degree is the polynomial, if the degree of a polynomial is always the degree of the highest degree? If that makes sense. xD

Ok I get it thanks
