What is the image of (-8, 3) over the x-axis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-8, -3) (8, -3) (8, 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(8,3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what I thought at first but that's the image over the y axis because it crosses over the y axis. You did that by changing the x sign right? Well the image over x axis will be the opposite of what you did so instead of changing the sign of the x, you need to change the sign of the Y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which would be (8,-3)? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Change the sign of the original: (-8, 3) Where Y is 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

everything else stays the same
