what do you think are the most important new or expanded roles for environmental or occupational health workers in the 21st century?

In the 21st century we are faced with the problems of environmental pollution due to industrialization, advancement in technology, more anthropogenic activities due to increase in population. All our environment, both aquatic and terrestrial have been polluted with toxic elements from factory leading to various diseases, climate change, global warming and sometimes pestilence due to sewage disposal. Therefore, in the 21st century, health workers should be occupied with environmental pollution control, campaign and measures against climate change, and how to prevent communicable diseases.
