p+9/5=r solve for p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p = r - 9/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope p = 5r - 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yoiu have to move the 5 and the nine over and use PEMDAS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, u are wrong on this one @crater9909 because the opposite of plus is minus, so you minus -9/5 on both sides to leave p on the left hand side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no because you have to do it step by step... divide by 5 first and then subtract 9 remember it has to be through PEMDAS multiplication always comes before subtraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you can ask @lovelylmj98 for the answer if you believe I am wrong, but I haven't learnt ur PEMDAS and it seems weird.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@JayDS sorry yeah i forgot that the -9/5 is seperate from the rest of the equation i thought the whole thing was divided by 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah okay, that explains it. no problem, we are all here to help :)
