To estimate the number of people in Springfield, population 10,000, who have a swimming pool in their backyard, 250 people were interviewed. Of those polled, 98 had a swimming pool. How many people in the city might one expect to have a swimming pool? Round the nearest whole number, if necessary. Show work please:)

Assuming that the trend is followed for all people in the springfield we can say that no of people \[\frac{98}{250}=\frac{\text{total no of people having swimming pool}}{10000}\]
