What is the line of reflection between pentagons PQRST and P'Q'R'S'T'?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what a line of reflection is so an explanation would be nice too :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A line of reflection means that it takes a shape and "flips" it over that line. It looks like this: |dw:1338266179454:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Another example: |dw:1338266240474:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what does that make the line of reflection o,0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try to picture a line for this one that you could flip the shape over and get it to where it ends up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1338266690522:dw| I drew in the original shape, and I drew in the line y=2, like you suggested. What happens if I reflect over that line? Do I get the the second place?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh so x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1338267374882:dw| Would that do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol um... that line wouldn't do it.
