what pc config should i have to run visual studio 2010 or greater properly? will a dual core celeron and 2gb ram do? am trying to build a pc to do desktop app development
I have a quadcore with a radeon graphics card and 6 gigs of ram and am upgradeable to 16 gigs of ram with this configuration I can open all my graphics editors and run a virus scan with out noticing any performance issuses new programs such as gimp almost instantly boot up before with a dual core and 1 gig of ram when I opened all the programs at once I would run out of ram and the processor would be noticeably spiked....you can buy a ASUS PC prebuilt like mine with a I7 processor in it for around $500-700 and a 1GB graphics card for another $79.00 you should also upgrade the power supply to a 500watt antec for another $50.00 that is optimal configuration but just buying the PC would suffice. --calmchess
@calmchessplayer ur pc is awesome!!!... for a gamer... ive a ps3 and an xbox360.. what am looking for is a pc which can run .NET or jdeveloper or eclipse smoothly.. urs will do for sure, but it IS more than i need actually. what i need to know is the basic pc config to meet my requirmnt. besides am nt gonna spent bucks on branded pc, i hav a 23 hd screen, hard drive from my old pc sata 500gb at 5400rpm... so basically i looking to add up a new motherboard, a new cpu and a new memory.
Yeah a computer similar to mine is what you need before and if you read the post I also said 1gig of ram a 20" monitor and a dual core processor will do just fine you can pick all that up for under $300.00
Yes, it's fine to run VS10 on that. No problem, i've used.
