yes its a realationship between values?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
f(x)
OpenStudy (mertsj):
A function is a set of ordered pairs in which no two ordered pairs have the same first number.
OpenStudy (mertsj):
{(1,2) (3,-8) (5,15)}
is an example
OpenStudy (mertsj):
None of the ordered pairs have the same first number so it is a function.

but i dont get graphs at all im really good at algebra but functions are really hard for me :'(
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Now if something is not a function, then there are two ordered pairs that DO have the same first number. Like (3,6) and (3,-4). And if you graphed those two ordered pairs, what would you notice?
