7. Describe what the diagram below represents. Explain the organism and energy interaction between the levels. https://www.connexus.com/content/media/464825-2172011-90110-AM-1001315249.png
I am really confused
The diagram indicates the trophic levels in the food chain, which indicate the flow of energy in the food chain. The 1st level ( from bottom) is called the 1st trophic level occupied by the primary producers, which are plants and from this diagram they look like spirogyra, moses weeds etc.. 1st tropic level can manufacture food from sunlight through photosynthesis and they are the source of energy and food in the food chain. The 2nd level is called 2nd trophic level occupied by the primary consumers which feed and obtain energy from the 1st trophic level- plants. From this diagram the second tropic levels look like crayfish, sprawn etc. The 3rd tropic level is occupied by the secondary consumers which feed on primary consumers. From this diagram the secondary consumer are small fish. The 4th tropic level is occupied by the tertiary consumers which feed on the secondary consumers. From this diagram, the 4th tropic level is occupied by bigger fishes which prey on smaller ones. The whole food chain is in aquatic environment.
So, the 1st tropic level is autotroph, while the 2nd, 3rd and 4th are heterotroph.
