OpenStudy (fools101):

Find the exact volume of the cone

OpenStudy (fools101):

how would i work this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The formula is \[1/3(πr ^{2}h)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, just plug in the values.

OpenStudy (fools101):

okay so it would be like 1/3 (19*6^2*18)? Right...?

OpenStudy (fools101):

i have to X it? right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait, does the H in the drawing stand for height?

OpenStudy (fools101):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[1/3(πr ^{2} h) = 1/3(π(6)^{2}(18)) = 1/3(π(36)(18)) = 1/3(648π) = 324π\] It says exact value, so you don't use an approximate value for π.

OpenStudy (fools101):

oh okay did you multiple 1/3(648)??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (fools101):

okay thank you!
