What were the main reasons for the Frech Revolution in 1789?

Hi, Here are the two main causes of the French revolution of 1789: - A political crisis The French population was divided in 3 estates. The first two (the Clergy and the Nobility) concentrated all the powers. The Third estate, which represented the poorest citizen, wanted more rights and the dissolution of the Ancient Regime system. - An economic crisis The tax system was unfair (only the poorest citizen were paying taxes). The king personal spending were huge. The American war of independence cost France a lot while the country already had a huge debt.
