I am a Woman

My eyes hold back my tears,
My broken dreams are within,
How can I let them fall?
Those drops mean nothing to him,
I have buried my emotions,
In a chamber, deep, therein
He has sealed up my lips,
but my beats are still racing,
In these walls, I suffocate,
My every breath is his slave,
I sit still, and lower my gaze,
One hand on the other, they are tied,
I feel them, the invisible chains,
I can't move, else they'll rattle,
I am bound to his authority,
They're holding my steps, your shackles,
It shines, the gold on my body,
