OpenStudy (ledah):

What is the slope of a line parallel to 10x - 5y = 8?

Parth (parthkohli):

Slope of a parallel line is always the same. But let's first see the y = mx + b form. -5y = -10x + 8 \(\Large \color{Black}{\Rightarrow y = {-10x + 8 \over -5} }\) \(\Large \color{Black}{\Rightarrow y = 2x - {8 \over 5}}\) m is the slope aka 2. Parallel line's slope is always the same, so 2 is the slope.
