OpenStudy (zepp):

I raise a hammer that has a weight of 500g to a height of 0.3meters, then release, what's the speed when it will touch the ground, if energy lost is neglected?

OpenStudy (zepp):

I found the potential energy when it was at 0.3m, which is 0.15J, then I don't know what to do.

OpenStudy (zepp):

Although I tried this out: Since|dw:1338327202436:dw| Then \(\large \begin {align} E_k &= \frac{1}{2}mv^2 \\ 0.15J&=\frac{1}{2}(0.5)v^2\\ v&\approx 0.77459m/s \\ \end{align}\)
